The Team

The Directors of Trigon have been focusing on building a stable of athletes in both the Cycling and triathlon disciplines to build a strong well rounded team.
The primary focus is to target those athletes who are trying to succeed in their chosen fields but need that initial support.

Where to start? You start with a well-respected, highly achieved person who can provide a wealth of knowledge and experience to up and coming athletes as well as holding their own on and off the bike.

Steven Rooney was selected for this role and has been proving himself long before hopping on his RQC29. Steven was Trigon’s first sponsored athlete who conducted many hours of testing on our first RQC28 and is a mentor and cycling coach to the younger recruits.
Most recently Steven competed in the Battle of the Border 2011 cycling race in Northern NSW.  Steven came 2nd overall in King of the Mountain and WINNER of the Salt Criterium (4th stage)

Steven is currently riding the RQC-29 and if you ask Steve he can confirm that the RQC-29 is the stiffest and most responsive carbon bike he has ever ridden.
PICS- Steven winning on a Trigon Bicycle...

Emma Coman-Jeffries came on board with Trigon mid April 2011. From the national series Emma placed equal runner up (Geelong, Mooloolaba and Sydney) in the 20-24 age group.

Luke Harrop was the final race of the QLD Gatorade Series (7 races). From the seven races, Emma WON SIX and finished 3rd in one. Emma won the Luke Harrop race with a PB time of 1:07:32 and was the 5th fastest female overall. So with that, Emma took out the Queensland Series for the under 25 females.
Emma has also been named in the Australian team to compete in the World Championships being held in Beijing in  September 2011. Emma is currently riding the RQC-29 and claims that it has made a noticeable difference to her cycling.

Keira Pride is the newest inclusion to the team and received her bike in mid May.

At the end of May Keira left for Europe where her first stop was Glascow, Scotland where her coach currently resides, followed by a camp in Font Romeu in the French Pyrenees. The duration of this camp hasn’t been confirmed yet, but total time overseas will be approximately 3 months.

Keira is planning to start racing around July/August and continue through until November andis planning to race in some local events in Aus towards the end of the year, possibly British Triathlon Series however these will be decided closer to the date.
