Athlete Updates

With their challenging week to week fitness routines and having competed in Hell of the West 2012 earlier in February, our athletes have had yet another busy month. Here is what some of our athletes have been up to:

Emma Coman - Jeffries has been busy training and racing the past few months and has had some promising results including, 2nd at the Canberra OD Championships (20-24 AG), 5th in QTS Race 5 Coloundra Triathlon Opens division and 6th Geelong OD Race 1 of the National Series. Emma has a challenging year ahead, and we wish her all the best in qualifying for the Australian Team later in the year. In the meantime, Emma is training hard for race 6 of the QTS Series, Sprint Champs and the Mooloolaba Triathlon.

Our junior athlete, James Moffat is currently undergoing heavy base training in preparation for the upcoming road season with the first big race being the Australian Mountain Climbing Championships in Mt Buffalo.

Luke Henry has been training hard with a swim coach for the last month, as he recognised the skill as his weakness. His recently accumulated swim miles payed off, with Luke coming out of the water 3rd in last weeks state championships. The coming weeks bring more challenges his way as Luke heads off to Davenport on March 5th, then to Busselton, WA for nationals in early April.
